NISafetyE advances into Imo State as Engr. Dr. Akaninyene Ekong harps on adherence, industrial, public safety

The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (A Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers) on June 27th June 2023 inaugurated Engr. Chidozie Okereke as the New Chapters Chairman of Imo State Chapter of The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers(NISafetyE).

Safety Awareness Campaign Carried out in Edjeba Community, Warri, Delta State.

The Safety Awareness Campaign was carried out in Edjeba Community Town Hall, Warri, Delta State, on 18th January, 2023. The image below shows President General Edjeba Community Mr. Ibuakevwe Ejiro seated on the high table with members of NISaftyE Delta State Chapter, who were present for the campaign. The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (NISafetyE); a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, held the investiture of the Oyo State chapter of NISafetyE with Engr. Olufemi Awodele as the Pioneer State Chapter Chairman. The event held at the International Conference Centre, UI where, the National Chairman of NISafetyE, Engr Akaninyene Edet Ekong called on Governor Seyi Makinde to consider the importance of public safety and put in place a safety commission to aid the efforts of NISafetyE in ensuring industrial and public safety in Oyo state.

Inauguration of Kano Chapter

=""/> The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (A Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers) 30th June, 2023 inaugurated Kano Chapter, thus extending the frontiers of Safety Engineering to Northern Nigeria with Engr. Shamsudeen Dalhatsu, sworn in as the Pioneer Chairman. The event held at the Capital City University Kano. National Chairman of NISafetyE, Engr. (Dr) Akaninyene Ekong, while performing the swearing-in of the Pioneer Chairman, advised on the need to work as a team, engage government, constructively and proffer safety engineering solutions to ensure both industrial and public safety. At the event, COREN President, Engr. Prof Zubair, who spoke on the need to foster professionalism in Engineering Profession through the various divisions, emphasized on Safety Engineering to be included in the Tertiary Educational Curriculum for Engineers, Technologist ,Technician and Craftsmen. He added that Training and Mandatory Competency development will be carried out for all Engineers with Safety Engineering being an integral part of Engineers training modules, assuring NISafetyE of working closely together to advance Engineering practice in Nigeria.NISafetyE Delta Chapter delegates at the Awareness Campaign are; Standing from left to right are: Engr.
